What is the Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet?

Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet is a food supplement.

The active components of Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet – certain vitamins (C, B6, B2, Biotin), amino acids (L-Arginine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Histidine, L-Tryptophan, L-Methionine, L-Tyrosine), minerals (Selenium), and other components (L-malic acid, Adenine, Glucosamine, Lipoic acid) – are substances also present in our circulatory system. Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet provides an increased intake of these essential and important substances.

The product is sugar-free, it may also be taken by diabetics and patients with lactose intolerance.

Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet should be administered every day, continuously without interruption.

What are the active components of Culevit 4 US?

1 film-coated tablet contains 250,413 mg of L-Arginine, 93,750 mg of Vitamin C, 103,244 mg of LPhenylalanine, 96,975 mg of L-Histidine, 79,616 mg of L-Malic acid, 72,757 mg of L-Tryptophan, 24,247 g of L-Methionine, 6,738 mg of Glucosamine, 3,964 mg of L-Tyrosine, 1,563 mg of Vitamin B6, 2,579 mg of Lipoic acid, 2,125 mg of Vitamin B2, 0.056 mg of Biotin and 13,125 μg of Selenium.

What else does the product contain?

It contains excipients such as hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide.

When is the use of the product recommended?

The administration of the film-coated tablet is recommended for the dietary provision of patients suffering from malignant tumourous disease, to complement their cancer treatment.

When should the administration of the product be avoided?

If you are allergic to any of the active substances or excipients you should not consume the product! Patients with phenylketonuria should not administer it because the product contains Phenylalanine.

Avoid using the product in case of hyperhomocysteinemia and homocystinuria, because it contains Methionine.

Is there anything to know before taking the product?

The product should not be used as a sole source of nourishment!

Is the product suitable for children?

Yes, it is. The dosage depends on bodyweight. One should consult a physician when administering the product to children under the age of 6. With respect to children’s safety, to prevent the over dosage of the product, it should be kept out of their reach.

Can the product be used together with other medications?

Yes, the product can be used with the vast majority of drugs, without the risk of unpleasant and/or harmful interactions. However, Tryptophan intake should be avoided with the concomitant use of some pharmaceutical products, eg. serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) used for depression; immunomodulatory products (eg. Interferon).

In such cases, consult your physician before taking this product.

What to consider during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

No data is available related to taking large quantities of the product in such conditions. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to consult their physician (obstetrician-gynecologist, respectively pediatrician) prior to taking the product.

What is the recommended dosage?

For adults, it is recommended to take 4×4 film-coated tablets/day.

How and when should be the product be administered?

It should be administered every day, preferably between meals, 4 times a day, from morning till evening. Try to take it on an empty stomach (for example 30-45 minutes before meals, or 2 hours after meals). 4 tablets should be taken in the morning after waking up, then 4 tablets before lunch, 4 tablets before afternoon snack, and the last 4 before dinner.

It is advised to start using the product as soon as there is a real suspicion of a tumourous disease. The tablets should be administered continuously, without interruption before, during and after oncology treatments.

What side-effects can be caused by the product?

No side-effects are known if used in the recommended dosage.

What else needs to be considered when taking the product?

The use of Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet requires individual consideration in case of existing gastric and duodenal ulcers, and extreme gastric hyperacidity.

In case of hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, consult your endocrinologist before taking the tablets (because of the L-Phenylalanine and L-Tyrosine content of the product).

If you suffer from a very rare disease associated with serotoninproducing carcinoid cancer, ask your physician for advice (because of the Tryptophan content of the product).

Patients undergoing renal dialysis or suffering from severe hepatic failure should consult a urologist or respectively a hepatologist/ gastroenterologist.

How long can the product be taken?

As long as the tumour is still detectable, the product should be administered continuously, in the recommended dosage of 4×4 tablets/day. If the tumour can no longer be traced, it is advised to continue the administration of the tablets: for 6 more months with a required dosage of 4×4 tablets/day, then for at least another 6 months with a minimum of 15×1 tablet/day.

How to store Culevit 4 US film-coated tablet?

The product is blistered in aclar blister and aluminum cover, it should be stored away from light, in a dry place, at room temperature (15-25°C). The film-coated tablet is very sensitive to humidity, therefore it can only be stored in its original well-sealed can! The film-coated tablet may change its color during storage, tiny dots may appear, however this does not affect the quality of the product.
